Is it possible to find a home for sale in Wellesley that’s not a sky high price? Last week a real estate firm released a report claiming Wellesley was the 7th most expensive housing market in the country (although this was disputed by some who took a closer look at the statistics). Certainly Wellesley is home to many out-of-sight priced homes, including a sprawling estate home for sale in Wellesley’s Dana Hall neighborhood in excess of $10M. Homes that most of us could never afford. And right now there are 120 homes for sale in Wellesley in excess of the million dollar mark.

Yet…there are some that are more affordable. I thought it might be nice to take a moment and showcase some homes for sale in Wellesley that are more moderately priced.

What does Wellesley have to offer?

I work with many newcomers to the Boston area. The vast majority of whom tell me they want the same things: highly regarded schools, easy commuting access, good shopping & restaurants, walkable town center, and lots of outdoor activities. Yes, Wellesley fits the bill. Boston newcomers are often surprised at how few towns in the area actually have vibrant town centers. Wellesley (along with Concord) is one of them.

What are your thoughts about Wellesley? I’d love to hear your pros and cons.
