Pictures of a few of my favorite things about living in Boston

Boston's Charles River Esplanade

I absolutely adore living in the Boston area. I'm a short train ride away from the inspiring Boston Symphony Orchestra, a night out to see the Celtics or the Bruins, shopping at the best vintage clothing stores, a leasurely stroll along the Charles River, or whatever activity catches my fancy.

When my twin comes to visit, a trip to the North End is always essential to pick up some over-the-top pastry and check out Greenough Lane where our family lived. (Yes, there were a few of us Irish in the North End at one time!)

Then it's off to get a rasberry lime rickey and hit the road for the Cape! If you haven't been to the Cape yet, it's a perfect escape...but try to avoid the Friday traffic. It can be brutal. It's worth the drive though. Head past the tacky arcades and shops and eventually you'll find unspoiled beaches.

I thought I'd share pictures of a few of my favorite things about living in the Boston area. These are mostly the City of Boston. Later I'll post more of the wonderful places that are a short drive away. Hope you enjoy! And please feel free to add your own.
